Join us for our 3rd annual Beer Tasting! This year’s event will feature craft beer from Thornbury VIllage Cider House and Brewery, Lake of Bays Brewing Co., and Neustadt Springs Brewery as well as the newest cider from Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery. You can expect a gourmet food pairing with each beverage, with expert guidance provided by Mike “Dr. Beer” Edney, and special guest speaker Nicholas Schaut from Bighead Hops. You will also be able to test your beer knowledge with our mystery beer, and try your luck at our raffle!

The event will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Best Western Inn on the Bay. Tickets are $60 each and are available at Birgit’s Pastry Cafe in the back of the Owen Sound Artists’ Coop, or from any member of Georgian Bay Concert Choir.

Deanne Hallman is a singer-songwriter who can rock the house, belt the blues or sing a lullaby. When she shares a stage with local music legends Don Buchanan, Paul Danard, and Steve Wood, there’s no stopping them. They performed to a sold-out crowd at Massie Hall in the fall of 2017 and have reunited for this Georgian Bay Concert Choir fundraiser.

Heartwood Concert Hall doors open at 1:30. Come early, grab a beer and settle in for a glorious afternoon of Deanne’s original songs exquisitely enhanced by her musical dream team: Don, Paul, and Steve. Relax to combinations of worldly rhythms, the freedom of jazz, and the colours of orchestra, and revel in the songbooks of others like Billie Holiday, Joni Mitchell, k.d. Lang and Nina Simone. This will be a wonderful musical treat.
